Mechanical Speed Beast

This was a very fun piece to do! I'm very pleased with how it turned out! There are two of these mechanical beasts to show with and without the flames and smoke. Alright, now for a little information on these creatures!

**DESCRIPTION**
These creatures were created for fast transportation, which means people are meant to ride them. They can go over 100 miles per hour. For convenience purposes and battery life preservations, when they are not in use they shrink to a smaller size and prefer to wrap themselves on their owner's shoulders. They are very light in their smaller state, so they are not burdensome.

The dark blue areas on the head, legs, and tail are sensors. The huge sensor on the head is also where the power source is for this creature. It keeps itself charged through solar energy and on one charge can last 48 hours (that's with usage abuse). It can run with its feet and legs like a normal creature, but can also extract wheels that are kept under the feet. Also, the beast's sides hide jets for extreme speeds. The nose is where steam is released. The sides that have the jets, have vents to release heat. In front of the jets is another vent-like compartment where air is taken in.

The tail is used as a rudder to help direct itself at high speeds, but can also be used as a defensive weapon. The claws are meant to grip, whether for running, climbing, etc., and can also be used as a defensive weapon. The middle and back claws, are larger for braking when the wheels are extracted. The two smaller claws on either foot, are primarily used to keep the wheels in place.
